Featuring more than 100 photographs, the collection offers an exciting look at one of the UK’s most enduring live artists, in tiny rooms and massive stages.

Across more than a decade of gigs, festivals, and late‑night stages, Morrison’s work captures the sweat, grit, and communal electricity that define Turner’s shows. From explosive full‑band moments to solo reflections, Guitars and Drums and Desperate Poetry charts both the evolution of Turner’s craft and the unwavering devotion of the audiences who follow him.

“Frank’s shows have always felt like a gathering of friends — loud, honest, and full of heart,” says Morrison. “This book is my attempt to bottle that feeling and share the story behind the noise.”

In the spirit of Turner’s long‑standing support for grassroots music, a portion of profits from the book will be donated to the Nick Alexander Music Trust and the Music Venue Trust, two charities dedicated to strengthening and sustaining the UK’s independent music community and music related causes.
